TMS offers numerous educational resources, scholarships, and other opportunities to help students get started on their journey with masonry.

Involvement in TMS provides students with the opportunity to:
- Network, learn from and receive mentorship from TMS members in the masonry industry.
- Apply for scholarships:
- Clayford T. Grimm P.E. Student Scholarship – Awarded every year to a Master’s level graduate student conducting research in masonry.
- James L. Noland Fellowship – Awarded every four years to a graduate student who is doing research on masonry
- Publish work in TMS Journal, North American Masonry Conference proceedings, and other venues.
- Potentially receive awards for Outstanding PhD. Dissertations and Master’s Thesis and Outstanding TMS Journal Paper.
- Become student members to receive free access to TMS Journal papers and TMS Responds.
- View the Masonry Laboratory Website* for free Virtual Laboratories developed by Dr. Jennifer Tanner and her students at the University of Wyoming.
- These labs were created to enhance students’ understanding of basic masonry principles, which govern design and construction of masonry structures.
